As the next generation of African American leaders, we have the opportunity to be a positive presence for young men by countering the lure of under-achievement, delinquency and drug use. We help them to overcome! As collegians, we serve as a positive role model, inspiring these young men to behave responsibly, set goals and to aspire to be college graduates. By establishing reliable friendships with young men, we will guide them past the pitfalls and obstacles of life.

 

   The Oath

 

  I do solemnly swear, that as a member of the Collegiate 100, I will do  my best to further the mission and objectives of the 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee.

 

  That, I will strive to assist in the personal progress of young Black Males by serving as a role model, and tutor;

 

  That, by doing so, I must continually grow as a person maintain character beyond reproach and merge their personal success with my goals and objectives;

 

  That I am of no value to them, if I am not good to myself. Therefore, I must not neglect my academic responsibility, depart from role as a gentleman, nor compromise my dignity or self-respect.

 

  I will exemplify personal qualities in their presence, which are admirable and worthy of duplication.

 

  Furthermore, I pledge brotherly love among my fellow collegians.
